Rossmoor Tennis Club Oaks:

On Monday, Nov. 3, the Rossmoor Tennis Club Oaks, playing in the Bay Area Ladies League, played Livermore Valley Tennis Club and won 8-4! Team Co-Captain Jan Perez and Judy Corliss played a tough match in first position but ended up losing in the third set 2-6.    Shin Kim and Pauline Hanley played second position and won easily in two sets, 6-0/6-4.    In third position, Barbara Phillips and Team Captain Trudie Anderson played a hard fought match but lost in the third set 4-6.   The fourth position players,Sally Nordwall and Lil Kuhl played an awesome match winning in 2 sets, 6-4/6-4.

Jerry McConnell, the Oaks tennis coach, said he was very proud of the team and is looking for more of the same.   In addition to coaching the Oaks, McConnell conducts a free tennis clinic for all level of players every Wednesday from 10:30 A.M. until noon at the Creekside tennis courts.   Feel free to attend. It's great fun.

Upcoming Events:

• The Rossmoor Tennis Club (RTC) General Meeting occurs on November 17 at 1:30 p.m. at Creekside, Room 1.   This is a great opportunity to learn more about the RTC functions and leadership. All RTC members are invited to attend. Refreshments will be served.
• The Blackhawk Tennis Club has joined the Men's Interclub Over 60 League.   Rossmoor's first match with Blackhawk is November 16 at the Rossmoor Buckeye Tennis Courts.
