  • 1)Results of the Post-tournament Survey from 5/29 Memorial Day Tournament.--Most people had positive comments but felt that the new format wasn't explained clearly and that people were confused.
  • 2)Revised protocol for sign-up and recruitment for tournaments based on the past confusions, mistakes and complaints. Now all sign ups will be on line.
  • Saturday July 1st will be a Wild Card Tournament from 8:45 to 11:30

Social - Laura Townsend

  • Summer BBQs review
  • When other groups or clubs use the Buckeye facility, they need to see that things are cleaned up better because raccoons have been getting into the garbage and leaving a mess. Laura will contact Ann Mottola.
  • We have been getting small turnouts for Saturday night barbeques. Should we ocnsider every other week? We should ask Lenny how he feels and if he would like other people to help out or take charge.

Membership - Terry Quinlan

  • 216 members currently
  • 72 Ball Machine
  • 20 new members since 1/1/23
  • New member tournament--Saturday, June 24th at 8:45 11 men and 7 women had signed up ,  Carol and Linda will help with food,

Facilities - Jerry Quinlan

  • May Court Usage--1570 which comes to about 51 players per day
  • The repaving committee is in the process of soliciting bids
  • $125,000 that was allocated is not nearly enough. There are pipes under courts 5 & 6 so they are in worse shape than courts 3 &4
  • Proposing to do only courts 5 and 6 this year and have them ripped up and completely redone
  • The next phase would be courts 3, 4, and then 1 and 2
  • It is important that we have a rotating plan for every year to keep up the courts and do it in properly with more funds allocated

PUBLICITY --Linda Hague

  • Roger has been writing up the men's tournaments
  • The news has recently been unbalanced with Pickleball getting lots of articles in the paper

Several clubs (Trails Club, Computer Club, Pickleball  and Bocce ) are using this software.  We could do membership on line and pay on line, renewals and reminders, e mail blasts, events, invitations etc.
  • A tech committee needs to be created for developing the Wild Apricot platform for RTC. An e-mail blast regarding the formation of the tech committee needs to be sent out prior to the July general meeting.
  • It also has a phone app.
  • Membership  at level 1 is $75. per month (with 10% discount the first year). If we prepay for 2 years we get  15 % off.
